I was approached by a friend to assist in decorating the old building for the fund-raising event. The central halls were being used to host the banquet, so the focus was the brightening up the former exhibition rooms with cheerful color before demolition and construction. Children were brought enmasse to decorate the walls with fun and colorful designs. I chose to emphasize the columns in the building's main rooms by painting giant tulips and daffodils above them.
