While exhibitiing my wearable art fashion at an artwalk in Anacortes, WA, I met the director and several staff members of the Museum of Northwest Art. They were so inspired by our meeting that the following year, 1997, they held their first Wearable Art Fashion Show. This has been an annual event ever since.
