Manscapes

The best way to describe the 'voice' or 'style' I've found to tell my story is through what I call MANSCAPES. I love painting and drawing images of men and my favorite work is when I get this layering effect going, where I show a sea of men in concert with one another, socializing, cruising, dancing and you know where your mind will lead you with that line of thinking. I've chosen to even transform my rather ordinary landscapes into ghostly manscapes. The best example of landscape transformation is the painting NIMBY, meaning Not In My Back Yard. It started out as a imaginary garden scape that got carved out into a view of a saltwater bay and Mt. Baker. I added a UFO and later three gay lovers sitting and standing on the hillside. That painting can be found in the restricted Painting Galleries.
